SEMCO Teak Sealer is a solvent-based teak finish that is comprised of pigments, ultraviolet inhibitors, mildewcide, and moisture protection. Unlike other teak sealer products in the market, SEMCO’s offering does not utilise silicone, varnish, polymers, or exotic oils.

To effectively match the needs of the users, SEMCO has come up with various shades of teak sealers. These shades are natural, honey tone, clear tone, gold-tone, and brown. The Natural shade is most commonly used on teak decking on yachts, as it performs best in outdoor environments.

SEMCO Teak Sealer Uses and Applications

The application of SEMCO teak sealer to teak products is very straightforward. First, you must clear the teak with the SEMCO Teak Cleaner part A and then part B and scrubbing with a hard bristle brush. Then make sure that the teak product is completely dry. Mix the SEMCO teak sealer thoroughly and apply to the decking or furniture etc. with a foam brush applicator or paint brush, allow the timber to absorb as much as it can hold. Once the first coat is dry and that any excess is already wiped out, you can then apply a second coat of the teak sealer right away. Usually, two coats of SEMCO teak sealer are enough to seal the timber and provide the desired appearance. The coating is expected to dry after an hour. However, the drying process may slow down if the weather is cloudy or damp. The newly coated teak product is recommended to be used the next day.
