Halyards and sails can easily damage or dislodge the combination light on your mast. It is more cost effective to protect your deck steaming light by installing a Riggtech QLED Deck Steaming Light Guard. Constructed from 6mm 316 grade stainless steel rod and polished to mirror finish. The shape will fit most mast sections and can be adjusted slightly for a better fit by bending the feet.
Mount on the mast with 6mm (1/4’) monel pop rivets or by cutting a thread into the mast material and fastening with metal thread screws. Anti-corrosive compound should always be used when mounting to a dissimilar metal. We use Tefgel, which you can also purchase from our online shop.
